Ode to the shoulder

Shoulders.

All day long they turn this way and that, nod, bob, jerk, lift, hunch, hunch some more, and if you're like me, hunch even more as I'm in front of my computer for most of the day. In addition, I also carry a lot of stress and tension in my shoulders. Yoga is an ideal way to release this tension and treat your shoulders to some goodness. But if you remember to bring your shoulders down and relax them.

I have been going to Newport Yoga for awhile now, but still I find my shoulders creeping up to my ears during certain poses, and only when I hear the instructor reminding us to lower our shoulders, they adjust, go back down, and relax. So I've decided. I need a shoulder shape-up! It
will be my mission to focus on the shoulders, opening up the chest, and reversing my hunchback destiny, while making observances of course.

In the mean time, I'm thankful there are instructors that will remind me to relax my shoulders.

So, shoulders.

Do you keep your stress and tension in shoulders as well? Yoga might just be the thing that will help bring your shoulder levels back down to normal.
